SPARK CONFERENCE BRANDING AND ADVERTISEMENT

Spark is a fictitious virtual conference that I created for Typography class. The concept was a conference that you could watch for home with the intention of sparking creativity during the COVID slump many artists faced. Included in the registration fee was a "Graphic Designer Survival Kit" shipped to each attendee with "thinking socks", a journal to decorate, a brochure with session information, pencils, and a flash drive with additional digital content. The logo font was designed using many sketches and Illustrator. In addition to Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate and Wordpress were also used to complete the final deliverables.

PENNDEL WOMEN 2023 INSPIRE CONFERENCE

PennDel Women is a non-profit women's organization based in the Pennsylvania-Delaware district of the Assemblies of God. Each year, they host a conference in the fall which needs branded and promoted. This years' theme was "Fashioned: Created for Purpose" with a very earthy palette. Though I did not create the branding for this conference, I was able to use the provided branding to create various printed promotional materials which are available to all the churches in the district. Attached you will see two letters from he director that included a lot of body copy which needed to be organized by importance in a way that allowed the document to not become too busy or cramped. Following the letters, there are three posters: one large poster featuring the guest speakers, and two small posters sharing the ticket prices and other information for attendees. The goal of each piece is drive sales for the conference and answer questions before they are asked.

PRINTMAKING

Printmaking is an artistic process based on the principle of transferring images from a matrix onto another surface, most often paper or fabric. Traditional printmaking techniques include woodcut, etching, engraving, and lithography, while modern artists have expanded available techniques to include screenprinting (What is printmaking?)

Below are examples of relief printing done during my graduate schooling. The wedding invitations were created using a Glowforge to get precise cuts for the text, while the other examples were hand carved on linoleum blocks. Each color was also hand mixed to ensure the accuracy of matching my color palette.
